A 23-year-old Evesham man is to be sentenced next month after admitting trying to steal copper from a Gloucester business.
Albi Johnson, 23, of Cleeve Prior Caravan Park, pleaded guilty at Gloucester Crown Court on Friday, July 14 to the attempted theft of an unknown quantity of copper in April.
He denied being in possession of a firearm and air rifle, and also denied handling stolen goods, an Ifor Williams trailer, between March and April.
Prosecutor Nick O'Brien asked for seven days so the Crown Prosecution Service could consider whether to accept Johnson's pleas.
But he said he anticipated that there would not be a trial.
Judge Martin Picton ordered a probation report and told Johnson to return to court for the provisional sentencing date on Friday, August 18.
He told him: "Understand this. This case is very serious and you are likely to receive a custodial sentence."
