HOMES in Worcester are to be given 'guidance sheets' in case there is another flash flood in the city.
City council chief executive David Wareing met Worcester MP Mike Foster and agreed the authority would be the first point of contact during future floods.
Mr Foster said: "It is very clear that the same properties are affected each time, and it is no good residents being told it is a one-off, as they were told in 2004. Two floods in two years is not a one-off in my book."
The city council is also considering supplying people with modern sandbags.
l Residents hit by the flash floods are now returning to normal.
Pauline Van Rooyen, aged 78, is blind and suffers from osteoporosis, and her stepfather Derek, aged 72, has emphysema and lung cancer.
Sanctuary Housing Association has now installed dehumidifiers and NatWest insurance has offered to pay for a replacement carpet at their bungalow in Glenridding Close, Warndon.
