ANNUAL FETE: Mickleton annual fete was held in the Kings Arms garden by kind permission of Suzzi and Mick Tayara. Back ground music was provided by Morning Dew. The Rev Alan Davies opened the fete. The many stalls and attractions included tombola, skittles and horse shoe, bat the rat, bean bags, vintage cars and motorbikes, tug of war and children's games with prizes given. The funny dress theme was the perfect princess or a knight in armour. Winners 1 twins Harriet and Imogen Smith, 2 Courtney Melville, 3 Amber Donaldson and 4 Cerys Wallis. Boys, 1 Felix Becerra Marin, 2 Ben Webb.
Lydon Stowe bid successfully for the child's bike. Art competition under six years - Cerys Wallis, Amber Donaldson, 3 Georgina Clarke. Computer generate magic castle: 1 Ben Webb, 2 Matthew Webb. The treasure hunt run by Emily Castle age six years winner: 1 Alan Kitchen, 2 Georgina Righton, 3 Pam Cross. Leanne Grinnel won the scarecrow competition, Helen Baker won the first prize in the raffle £50, nuts and bolts in a wheel trim 140 was won by Mrs Bocock of Chipping Campden.
A total of £1,700 was raised.
