DROITWICH Spa's second XI beat Bromyard by eight wickets in the Worcestershire League Division One on Saturday.
Martin Woodward took five wickets for 19 runs as Bromyard were bowled out for 84 in the 34th over. Only Brian Pursall made any impact with the willow for Bromyard with 29 runs.
Openers Dan Garbett (40) and Anthony Small (21) made sure Droitwich were well on the way to victory before they were dismissed.
Chris Machin (five not out) and Phillip Thomas (13 not out) made sure Droitwich did not stumble as the team reached 85-2 in the 15th over.
Victory leaves Droitwich in second place, six points behind Bewdley.
