BARNT Green Spartak FC's pre-season preparations for the 2006/2007 campaign step up a gear this Saturday when a side containing several hopefuls plays it first pre-season match away at Warwick Town (3pm kick off).
Manager GJ Singh is set to cast his eye over several players, as he looks to rebuild the side in order to challenge for the Midland Combination Premier Division title.
Singh said: "I've got a few players I want to look at but it's very early on yet.
"I'm keeping my options open at the moment because it's so early in pre-season and a lot can happen."
The Spartak boss is re-building the side after a tightening of the budget led to a player exodus at the end of last season.
Barnt Green start the Premier Division on Saturday, July 19, with a home match against Continental Star, before going Highgate United three days later.
