Lickey WI celebrated its 42nd birthday by visiting Tythe Barn Gardens at Chaddesley Corbett. A very pleasant evening was spent exploring these delightful surroundings during which refreshments were served by our hostess, Judy Berrow. A coach outing to Trentham Gardens was enjoyed in June and members are looking forward to a theatre visit to see Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang later in July.
The competition for a buttonhole was well-supported with Joan Matthews being judged the winner.
At the next meeting, to be held at the parish hall on August 1, David Chatterley will give the history of the teddy bear. The competition will be for a teddy.
