CHADDESLEY CORBETT WI - At the June meeting, Mr Mel Mills gave a talk on the Romany way of life. More serious aspects of prejudice were touched on and members asked questions.
The Barbara Gill Memorial Lecture will be on September 11 at Imperial College, London. Dr Susan Webb's subject is food for a fitter future.
On Tuesday, September 19, there will be afternoon tea in St Cassian's Church from 2.30pm until 4.30pm. Profits will go to Kemp Hospice and Cobalt Cancer Campaign.
The craft evenings will continue with the next meeting on July 26 in the village hall. A new members meeting will be held on October 25 at 7.30pm.
There is no meeting in August so the next meeting will be on September 6 at 7.30pm in the village hall.
