STOURPORT FLORAL ART CLUB - Demonstrator Margaret Walker provided the entertainment on June 26 with arrangements depicting musical interludes with stories of family and holidays that revolved around the flowers.
The next meeting is on Monday, July 31 when club members provide the arrangements. Meetings are held at The Social Day Centre, New Street, at 7.30pm. Visitors are welcome and there is an admission fee.
The club is celebrating 50 years of flower arranging with a festival at Wesley Methodist Church on July 22 and 23. Sponsorship of local shops, clubs and individuals have made the festival possible and it is in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice. Donations toward the Church Restoration Fund can be made at the entrance.
The anniversary lunch and demonstration by Andrew Lloyd at Blakelands on Wednesday, August 16 is fully booked and must be paid for at the July meeting.
Joan Southerland's classes are popular and it is hoped will provide more entrants for the Horticultural Show on August 27 and 28 at the Riverside.
This year's titles are in the schedule available at the club or from Pet and Garden Supplies, Tan Lane.
