PAUL West's new-look Evesham United line-up get their season under way at Alvechurch tonight (7.30).

The Robins boss will be taking a 30-strong squad to face the Midland Alliance side managed by former Kidderminster Harriers caretaker boss Shaun Cunnington.

But a dozen of those players are to be involved in a training session at Lye Meadow.

West is likely to include former Gloucester City pair Chris Burns and Keith Knight, but the players who miss out will feature in Thursday's home game with Littleton.

The Evesham manager spoke to ex-Worcester City player Paul Carty at the weekend but won't be pursuing his interest immediately.

West said: "Paul has found it hard to find training sessions, but if he can get fit then I may pursue it."
