THE West Mercia Police Authority, which oversees West Mercia Constabularly, has received a glowing report from independent auditors PriceWaterhouseCoopers for its corporate governance, achieving ratings of either excellent or good.
The review assessed performance in six areas, as defined by the Office for Public Management and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy.
Paul Deneen, chairman of the authority, said: "This independent assessment goes to the very heart of the authority's activities and the effectiveness of our arrangements for oversight and direction of police services in West Mercia.
"It provides assurance to the public of the efficiency of West Mercia Police Authority."
