An open meeting will take place in Corse to discuss a controversial planning application by National Grid.
The plan to build a gas pressure reduction plant with 8.6m high chimneys, floodlights and boiler houses on six acres of farmland, with views to the Malvern Hills, has angered residents.
An action group to fight the proposal has been formed locally, amid concern over its size, scale, environmental impact and issues relating to safety.
The meeting takes place at Corse Village Hall tomorrow (Saturday), at 10am. It will be attended by Mark Harper, Conservative MP for the Forest of Dean.
The application, part of a new national gas pipeline project, was due to be discussed by neighbouring Eldersfield Parish Council last night (Friday). There have already been meetings of concerned residents.
