WORCESTER Wolves have confirmed Ty Shaw will not be returning to the club for their British Basketball League debut season.
Shaw, who left Wolves at the end of last season, is currently plying his trade in the Western Australia League.
The door had been left open for the 6ft 8in centre, who was this week named as the EBL division one player of the year for last term, to return to Worcester, but the Wolves management team have decided to look elsewhere.
Director of basketball Mick Donovan said: "Ty was a free agent and he opted to go to Australia and we have decided to look at other options.
"He has been brilliant for the club and one of the best players in our short history."
Shaw won the EBL award after leading Wolves to a National Trophy win as well as a fifth-placed finish in the league. He scored 17.2 points per game to complement his 11.8 rebound average.
Meanwhile, Wolves season tickets for the BBL will cost £100 for adults and £70 for senior citizens, students and under 16s. The new prices have been updated and will cover extra games.
