AN elderly woman had her handbag snatched from her shopping trolley in Morrisons supermarket.
The pensioner, who is in her 80s, was in the Warwick Highway store last Tuesday at about 1.30pm.
She remembers a woman in her 20s with dark skin who was wearing a pink sleeveless top walk up to her and start a conversation. However, when she turned back to her trolley her black bag containing cash and cards was gone.
Pc Scott Gee, from Redditch police, said: "We want to make people aware this incident has happened and to encourage them to be vigilant themselves.
"Our advice to anyone visiting a supermarket or busy shopping centre is to hold on to their bag rather than leaving where it might be targeted by the opportune thief."
Witnesses can call Pc Gee on 08457 444 888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
