PAST and present members of the 1st Kidderminster Girls' Brigade are joining together this weekend to celebrate the group's 75th anniversary.
A special "Decades Disco", with music from different generations, is being held at Milton Hall Baptist Church, the Lorne Street venue where the company has met since its earliest days, from 7.30pm on Saturday.
Youngsters from the group, which gets together every Thursday evening, are taking part in a parade service on Sunday at 10.30am, which will also include a talk from former brigade officer, Pauline Harris.
The first Girls Life Brigade company was formed in the town in 1931. Any former members of the group interested in taking part in the celebrations can contact Teresa Bentham on 01562 630471.
