A NEW era at Bromsgrove Town Bowls Club was launched as its new pavilion was unveiled on Saturday.
The new facility, which has taken six months to build, was unveiled by the town's MP Julie Kirkbride at Sanders Park.
Ms Kirkbride was joined by Worcestershire Bowls Association president Vernon Evans and senior vice president Roy Briscoe joined members at the opening.
Chairman and club captain Tony Lockhart said: "The pavilion is a big step forward for the club and the culmination of many years hard work. We've wanted a purpose built pavilion for some time. This one will be used for refreshment and is bigger so we can have more members."
The construction of the new building, which cost several thousand pounds, was paid for by the club's members.
To mark the opening the club's men's team took on the women's team in a special one off match.
Bromsgrove Town Bowls Club is always on the lookout for new players, if interested call Mr Lockhart on 01527 873301.
