BROMSGROVE driver Nathan Crewe crashed out of the Quinton stages of the British Trials and Rally Driver's Association Championship (BTRDA) on Saturday in Wales.
Crewe had been going well when the MG ZR crashed off the track and rolled onto the roof.
Despite help from the crowd to re-right the car Crewe and co-driver Chris Brooks were unable to catch up with the leaders in the XSpec 1400 category.
Crewe said: "At the end of SS3 Route 60 a tightening left on lose gravel caught us out and we were just going too fast to make the corner. We hit the bank on the other side of a ditch and damaged the suspension and the impact flipped us over on to the roof."
The car will be repaired in time for the next round in September for the Woodpecker Rally in Ludlow.
