AFTER drawing a couple of old foes in last season's FA competitions, Evesham United will face clubs they have never come across in this year's FA Cup and FA Trophy.
Having lost out to Tiverton Town and Solihull Borough respectively in 2005, officials will be hoping for a prolonged stay in one or both prestigious and lucrative competitions this year.
The Robins will play host to either Penzance or Clevedon United in the preliminary round of the FA Cup on Saturday, September 2 and they will also be at their temporary Worcester City home on October 21 in the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy against either Lymington and New Milton or Brook House.
Should they progress in the FA Cup then they will on their travels with a first qualifying round tie at either Radstock Town, Wadebridge Town or Elmoor.
Pershore Town have also been given a home date in the first round qualifying of the FA Vase.
The King George's Playing Field outfit will face Sutton Town on Saturday, September 9 when the winners will earn the right to play host to either Barrow Town or Greenwood Meadows in the next round 14 days later.
Manager Paul West has been pleased with the way the players have shaped up in the opening trio of training sessions, while also revealing that goalkeeper Nathan Vaughan has indicated an interest in returning to the club.
West's United side face their opening competitive match at Alvechurch on Tuesday night when most of the club's summer signings should be in action and there's a local derby next Thursday (7.45) when Littleton are the visitors.
