STEVEN Cooper was left regretting his decision to ask Barnards Green to bat when Saturday's County League first division hosts posted an imposing 311-4.
Kevin Golder led the run spree with 112, while Tim Clarke chip-ped in with an unbeaten 52 helping Adam Binks (45no) add 104 in the last nine overs.
Any ideas Pershore may have had of producing a stunning reply were left in tatters as they lost their first three wickets while reducing the target by a meagre 27.
Cooper and Lee Wilks, who both scored 67, ensured respectability with a stand of 105 but it was left to Trevor Ridings to bat out the final 16 overs in a reply of 237-7 to deny the home side victory.
