Evesham Jubilee Society
MEMBERS met last weekend at Broom on the River Arrow when a field of 24 contested the Jubilee Cup.
Ian Newman put his local knowledge to good use to come first on the day with 7.14.0 ahead of John Davis (5.3.0) and third-placed Tim Hunt (4.8.0).
The section winners were Dougie Smith 3.12.0 and Billy Treadwell 3.1.0.
This weekend members will be fishing the first Severn Shield match of season at Diglis. Draw at 7am and all members are welcome. Check the website for more details.

Evesham and District Disabled Club
WAYNE Panting topped the 100lb mark at Manor Farm last Thursday to top the weights at the penultimate match of the Fiesta Cakes Summer Evening League.
Antony Icke narrowly failed to match that feat at Sunday's Bradford and Bingley Summer League Trophy competition at Oakham Farm Pools but a weight of 97.50 was easily enough for victory.
It's the final match of the Summer Evening League tonight while Tirley Court is the destination on Sunday and members should contact Roy on 01386 833131 for more details.

LUKE Bartlett topped the latest match fished at The Naight in Worcester last Sunday.

Evesham Youth AC
THE NFA National Competition took place on the Warrington Canal last Saturday when categories included cadet, juniors and intermediate.
More than 300 anglers took part including an Evesham junior team that did really well for such a young team achieving 11th place out of 24 entrants.
Jamie Harvey was highest pla-ced at 14th out of 144 anglers with the rest of the squad comprising Mathew Kinnersley, Gavin Griffiths, Duncan Field, Simon Pickering and Craig Aylett.
Harvey was also in good form when topping the Juniors standings in round four of the Journal Series fished on Crown Meadow.
Adam Jelfs and Mark Malin were the winners of the Novice and Intermediate sections respectively.
