EIGHTEEN riders from the Evesham Wheelers met for the weekly ride last Sunday.
The members set out from the High Street in drizzling rain towards Bretforton and Pebworth where they were able to discard their rain wear.
Moving on to Wel-ford, Stratford and Hampton Lucy, a favourable wind enabled them to reach the morning coffee stop in Warwick in good time.
The return journey was much harder, though, as they battled with a headwind through Norton Lindsey, Wilmcote and The Graftons to return home having covered 55 miles.
The last month has seen two members, Carol Hall and John James, cover more than 800 miles.
The first 700 on a trip from Caen to Montpellier in France and completed in 11 days. The remainder being last Sunday when the same riders set out from Solihull to ride the lanes of North Warwickshire in an event promoted by Solihull CC.
This Sunday's run will be to Hazlefield GC, Newent, starting at 9am outside Argos and is open to all comers at any level.
