BIDFORD'S B439 road is subject to new speed restrictions and changes to improve safety, under a new scheme launched by Warwickshire County Council.
Under the county-wide village speed limit review, Bidford is set to get the vehicle activated signs in a bid to stop motorists speeding through.
Stratford district councillor Peter Barnes, who has campaigned for moves to cut speed in Bidford for the past five years, is thrilled.
"It's wonderful knowing that work is taking place in the village to reduce the speed," he said. "This is something the people of Bidford have wanted for a long time, so I am very pleased. Hopefully, with the new lighting at Marriage Hill, the new speed reductions should make driving through Bidford a lot safer."
