AWORCESTERSHIRE County Councillor Liz Eyre is showing her support to Broadway residents after they complained over the poorly refurbished roadworks.
Last week the Journal reported on residents from Sandscroft Avenue and Bibsworth Avenue in Broadway feeling furious over the recently completed roadworks carried out by Worcestershire's County Council's Highway Agency that left their roads looking like a 'patchwork quilt'.
Cllr Eyre said: "I can assure residents that I made a full complaint about the incomplete work, the width of the pavements and in one place an issue around a new car parking access across the green and footway.
"These are being fully investigated by officers at County Hall. I am reserving judgement based on the answers but I'm really not satisfied with how the land lies at the moment. Sixty thousand pounds is a lot of taxpayers' money - residents have waited patiently for this work to be done for some time- at first sight it seems real answers, completion and corrective work is needed."
