SAMURAI Judo Club's boys were back in town when they outshone the girls with gold at the Wyre Forest Open Team Championships.
The boys heavyweight A team were the only ones to clinch the top prize with Craig Seldon, James Talbot and Simon Cooper in unstoppable form.
They beat Coventry 3-0, Kettering 2-1, Birmingham 3-0 and their own B team 3-0 before whitewashing Leicester 3-0 in the final.
The B team - made up of Ed Coleman, Ian Curley-Floyd and Sam Woodward - recovered to bag the bronze.
Continuing the boys' success were the boys lightweight A team of Jack Nelson, Tom Wilkes, Andrew Talbot who secured a silver.
Despite the boys stealing the show, the girls were still among the medals with two team silvers and two team bronzes.
The girls lightweights A team, comprising Frankie Marston, Clare Hatherill and Charis Hancocks, secured silver while the B team, made up of Beatrice Howarth, Pippa Harper and Kayleigh Meese, settled for bronze.
In the girls heavyweights, the A team of Alex Widdowson, JoJo Cowie and Amy Millington won silver and there was a bronze for the B team of Kayleigh Meese, Sally Moon and Sarah Biles.
Marston also starred in a special individual event for the girls lightweights, grabbing gold while Hatherill, Harper and Howarth bagged bronze.
