GARY Bartram set a new personal best to finish fifth as Wyre Forest Cycle Racing Club riders excelled in Walsall Roads CC 25-mile time trial at Burton-on-Trent on Sunday.
Bartram's time of 55 minutes 59 seconds knocked 35 seconds off his previous record as he and several clubmates produced sub-hour rides.
Bartram will be hoping his good form continues when he rides in the National 100-mile Championships along with Paul Prince later this month.
Paul Carson was the fastest Wyre Forest rider in the Echelon Cycles 10-mile time trial on the Evesham bypass on Wednesday evening, finishing 12th in a season's best of 22-11.
Andy Convery raced to another victory in the latest round of the club time trial competition, powering around the undulating 10-mile Great Witley course in 22-44.
Wyre Forest were fifth and sixth after entering two teams in Ras De Cymru 5-day stage race in Wales last week.
Mick Gray continued his impressive season with 20th place and a time of 1-33-40 in the Veteran Time Trials Association 30-mile event in very hot conditions.
