UNIVERSITY OF THE THIRD AGE - The monthly meeting of U3A will take place on Monday, July 16 at St Ambrose Social Club, Leswell Street, Kidderminster at 2pm.
This month the guests will be Annette and John Christophers from Albrighton Pottery who will be giving a practical demonstration.
There will not be a meeting in August although the walking group will meet at the Bellman's Cross Inn, Shatterford on Tuesday, August 1 for a 10.30am start.
U3A Wyre Forest now has nine different groups to enjoy. It is hoped that in the near future these will have expanded to include a book group and a classical music group. Anyone with skills or knowledge, particularly foreign languages, that they wish to pass on or acquire is invited to join the group.

RAMBLERS ASSOCIATION - The Wyre Forest Ramblers Association has the following events:
On Saturday members are walking the Watkin path ascending Snowdon, meeting at Blackstone Car Park near Bewdley at 6.30am. For more details contact Roger on 07969095419 or Hugh on 01299 878181.
On Sunday, there is a three-mile short walk at Horseley Hill starting at 2.30pm, meeting at Slad Lane, Drakelow off the B4189. For more details contact Virginia on 01299 861263.
On Thursday, July 20 there is a 3.5-mile leisurely evening walk starting at 7pm from the Bulls Head, Chelmarsh. For more details contact Alison on 01562 632219.
FRIENDSHIP CENTRE - At the inaugural meeting Liz Davies was elected chairman, and Doreen Rowland and Edna Hill as joint secretaries.
After a quiz provided by David and Edna Hill, there was a buffet lunch.
On Thursday, July 20 at 10am, in the Lickhill Community Centre, Stourport Memorial Park, there will be a talk by David Williams about the fire brigade.
On August 3 at 10.30am, at Hurcott Woods car park, there is a ramble, followed by a pub lunch.
