STRIKER Dean Curtis has left Bromsgrove Rovers for AFC Telford.
Curtis opted to join the Shropshire side on Monday night.
Curtis, aged 19, had scored three goals for the club already since he came from Sutton in the summer.
His strike partner Chris Smith is set to speak with Halesowen manager Paul Holleran this week after the club put in a seven-day bid for the livewire forward.
Assistant manager Bernard Mackie said: "Jimmy (Mullen) and I don't like it when players leave the club and it's not our choice.
"Dean seemed eager to stay, but he changed his mind."
Rovers are trying to fend off losing even more players.
Worcestershire rivals Evesham United have made a bid for goalkeeper Lee Evans.
Other clubs are also interested in squad members Leon Mitchell and Riad Erraji, although the club has yet to receive bids for the duo.
Mackie is looking for a better performance after Rovers' defeat to Swindon.
Mackie said: "The players couldn't understand why they played so badly.
"We've played well and lost games, but that was our worst performance of the season.
"But the players still believe they can win seven of the next ten games.
"We're a good side and the players are confident we can build a run and push ourselves up the league."
l Rovers play either Newcastle Town or Buxton in the FA Cup on Saturday, September 10.
The sides clashed last night (Tuesday) in a replayed game.
