Bromsgrove 19 Market Bosworth 48
Midlands Division One
POINTLESS Bromsgrove go into the festive period with little to cheer about after being overpowered by Market Bosworth at Finstall Park on Saturday.
The Boars are left stranded at the bottom of the Midlands Division One after a heavy defeat at the hands of their Leicestershire rivals.
The scoreline didn't reflect a hard working back to the walls display for much of the game by beleaguered Bromsgrove.
However, a young side lacked the experience or the power in the forward line to fend off a solid Market Bosworth team.
For long periods of the first half Bromsgrove were unable to force their way out of their own half as Bosworth probed for an opening.
Bosworth kicker Damien Steele let the home side off the hook when he missed two penalties in the first 11 minutes.
Steele also missed two conversions as Bromsgrove found themselves lucky to be just 10-0 down.

Richard Stockholm then stunned the visitors with an opportunistic try in the 27th minute.
He pounced on hesitant handling after a Market Bosworth scrum and powered into the right corner. Ben Copson converted to make it 10-7.
Two tries by the visitors before half time left Bromsgrove trailing by 15 points.
The Boars started the second half brighter and began to hold the ball up, but they were hit by three slick tries, two under the posts, to leave them trailing 43-7.
As Bosworth took there foot off the gas Bromsgrove hit back. Mark Kember ran down the right win to make it 12-43, before David Bridge set up Richard Arnold. Copson converted.
However, a late try by the visitors rubbed salt into Bromsgrove's wounds.
