AN 87-year-old who has enthralled Worcestershire by belting out the tunes of Max Bygraves did a private show for a woman fan and her husband for their golden wedding anniversary.
Reg Box, of Brook Farm Drive, has raised £68,000 for the Air Ambulance through his performances in senior citizens' rest homes and village halls.
But for fan Joyce Cooper he went one further and agreed to do a private gig at her golden party with husband Ron in Alfrick.
Mr Box, who turns 88 in two weeks, said: "It was a wonderful day and Joyce was so pleased that I was able to be there. I usually do shows for Age Concern, or for rest homes, but since this, I have had a number of individuals asking if I will play. I am only too happy to help if anyone would like to hear me sing." Mrs Cooper said: "It was a wonderful day and I was so pleased to see Reg perform again. I shall never forget it."
Anyone who is interested in hiring Reg for a performance should call him on 01684 561624.
