November 18, 1905
Under the auspices of the South Worcestershire Liberal Association, a lantern lecture entitled "Liberalism and the Worker," was delivered at the Old School, Bengeworth, on Monday evening by Mr. A. E. Cornish, Mr. Henry Field presided, and there was a good attendance. After the Chairman's introductory remarks, Mr. Cornish delivered his lecture, which was illustrated by a number of "Punch" and "Westminster Gazette" cartoons.

The Offenham Infants' Council School have started a new feature in their daily curriculum. As is generally understood, milk plays a large part in the successful up-bringing of young children, and teachers are being urged today to encourage milk-drinking amongst children. Because of this a milk club has been started in the Offenham Infants' School. The children pay a penny per day for the milk, which is delivered warm in separate bottles.

Evesham Town Council gave notice this week that persons who may object to the proposed establishment of a bus station on Merstow Green must put their objections in writing before December 20. The proposed station for public service vehicles will occupy an area of Merstow Green extending from the junction with Vine-street to a line crossing the main area of Merstow Green approximately 54 yards east of the Evesham Church of England School and the scheme provides for the erection of shelters round the perimeter of this area.

Evesham town council has complained that some of the town's footpaths are a "disgrace" and is calling for county council action to put them right. Attention was drawn to the problem at a council meeting by Mr F. E. Hampton, who said he was getting more concerned every day about the state of Evesham and particularly its footpaths. "The paths in this town are a disgrace," he said. "The villages play up more than we do and get the situation rectified."
