EVESHAM United manager Dave Busst is realistic enough to know that last Saturday's win will count for nothing unless his side can string together a decent run of results, writes Mervyn Collins.
The Robins hit the road for the first of five successive away games this weekend when another three-pointer and first back-to-back wins of the campaign at fellow strugglers Aylesbury will bring even more satisfaction to the Common Road chief.
"Last Saturday's win was a relief and a big boost to all at the club," Busst admitted. "However, I am not stupid enough to think that we have suddenly turned things around but it was certainly very welcome.
"We've got to build on that. We've got three games in eight days and there would be no better time to go on a good run."
The Ducks swapped places with United to slip into the relegation area last weekend, while one-time promotion chasers Grantham, who play host to Busst's men next Tuesday night, are another side currently on a downward spiral.
"The majority of sides in the league have had a bad run and, if we can string together a run of results, then we could find ourselves comfortably above the relegation zone," Busst declared.

The manager says he will name an unchanged side for the visit to Aylesbury but he will be forced into a change in midweek when Gavin O'Toole serves a one-match ban.
Grant Pinkney, who like Lee Knight and Richard Ball, has been under the weather, will be free for selection but Jermaine Clarke has returned to Redditch for another month's loan with a view to a possible permanent move.
Busst also revealed that his efforts to replenish his squad suffered a double blow late last week when moves for two players broke down last Thursday. However, he is still searching for new blood but is more than happy to put his faith in the side that ended a miserable run of three successive defeats last Saturday.
A coach will leave for Grantham at 4pm from the High Street and details can be obtained by ringing the club on 01386 442303.
