LICKHILL TG - The guest speaker at the June meeting was Mrs Bache. The subject of her talk was the Casualties Union, a group of people who enact the part of casualties in mock-up disasters for the training of the fire, ambulance and other rescue services.
Arrangements were made for those going to the Annual West Midlands Federation lunch, at The Mill, Alveley.
The group is still looking for someone willing to take over as secretary later this year. The guild meets on the first Monday of the month, at Lickhill Community Centre, Lickhill Road, Stourport, from 7.30pm to 10pm. Visitors and new members are welcome.
Geoff Neal will be the guest speaker at the next meeting on July 3.
St Michael and All Angels Parish Church - The church is holding a thanksgiving for baptism and confirmation on Sunday at 3pm.
Anyone who has been baptised and/or confirmed at St Michael's, adult or child, is invited, together with their family and godparents, to come and join in. The event will be a short thanksgiving service in the church followed by refreshments in the parish room.
