YES indeed, drivers using the bus lane. In response to Barrie Wells' letter (Advertiser, June 14) with regard to the amount of people who use the bus lane at the top of EasemoreRoad, is it any wonder?
Bus lanes serve an obvious purpose but when they cut off specific areas of the town to drivers, then something needs to be done.
The top of Easemore Road is an example of a silly strip of road designated as a bus lane that requires drivers to go completely out of their way to get to the other side or go down a road to perform a U-turn to come back up the other side.
An even more ridiculous bus lane restriction is at Ipsley Street, where if you are a resident of Southcrest, you are completely cut off from Trafford Park and the neighbouring facilities. Why?
