KAI HORSTMANN says Worcester skipper Pat Sanderson will be his inspiration as he lines up for England Saxons in the Churchill Cup opener later today.
Having received a late call-up following the withdrawal of Gloucester's James Forrester, Horstmann goes straight into coach Jon Callard's side against Scotland 'A'.
The 24-year-old knows he is not the first Warriors back-row forward to travel to Canada harbouring hopes of earning full England honours.
Sanderson captained last summer's Churchill Cup-winning side and now leads Andy Robinson's senior squad on their two-Test tour to Australia.
"Pat's an ambitious guy and it rubs off on you," said Horstmann.
