The work of two of the great music acts of the 60s and 70s from different points of the musical spectrum is set to be revisited in Worcester this month.

American act The Beach Boys first exploded on the music scene in the 1960s on both sides of the Atlantic and scored a wealth of hits with bright and breezy tunes including Surfin' USA, I Get Around and Good Vibrations.

Meanwhile, one of the most influential rock 'n' roll bands of all time - Led Zeppelin - was forming over on the UK's shores in 1968.

They went on to become a huge success in America with their trademark bluesy rock sound heard on such classics as Rock & Roll, Whole Lotta Love, Kashmir and Ramble On.

Now fans of both bands will be able to re-live their hits when the tribute acts Beach Boys Inc and Whole Lotta Led come to Worcester's Huntingdon Hall.

Beach Boys Inc. includes bassist and lead singer Colin Bond, who toured and recorded with Meatloaf, and Charles Hart, drummer and singer with 60s chart-toppers The Four Pennies.

Meanwhile, Whole Lotta Led have built up a reputation as one of the foremost Led Zeppelin tribute acts in the country concentrating on the music rather than attempting to look like the band. Beach Boys Inc play the venue tonight and tickets are £12.50, while Whole Lotta Led play on Friday, May 5 and tickets are £12.
