KIDDERMINSTER'S Young Gloves karate club had a host of success stories including two runners-up prizes - at the British Open Karate Championships.
Gemma Foynes was one of the stars of the show, finishing second in the fighting after making the last eight of the kata.
And club instructor Trevor Connolly overcame some difficult opponents and some dirty tricks to take second in his fighting category.
Special mentions must also go to Milly Keal, Max Love, Samantha Thomas, Nataile Page and Richard Page who did the club proud.
Tournament organiser Brian Se-Bright expressed his congratulations to the club whose spokesman Justin Thomas was delighted with their perormance.
"It proved that Young Gloves Karate is truly a quality club that is quite capable of competing with the best in the UK," said Thomas.
