KIDDERMINSTER Victoria Cricket Club have unveiled their overseas player for their first season back in the top flight of the Birmingham League.
Indian Vishal Bhatia is a left arm orthodox spinner who has been playing first class cricket for Northern State side Himachal Pradesh.
Head coach Ross Edwards is expecting the 24-year-old to make a big impact at Chester Road.
He said: "We got to hear of him through some of the contacts we've got in India and he comes highly recommended to us.
"We think he's going to bowl a lot of overs for us and we think spin will play a massive part in the Premier Division again this year.
"It would be great if he could follow in the footsteps of people like Richard Illingworth who have played at this level."
Bhatia, who will fly over next month, is excited about the prospect of playing cricket for KVCC.
He said: "I'm very much looking forward to playing for Kidderminster and I'm aware of the tradition and history of the club.
"I hope to do very well in Kidderminster."
