SWIMMING: Wyre Forest Swimming Club's Amy Smith says her Commonwealth Games silver medal has given her the belief to pursue her Olympic dream.
Smith was part of the English 4 x 100m freestyle relay team that finished runners-up at the Games - and she has now set her sights on London 2012.
"I am obviously over the moon about getting a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games," she said.
"I would have liked my own time in the relay to be quicker, but as a team, we did what we needed to do.
"It has really encouraged me to go home and train hard, and my aim now is to reach the Beijing Olypmics in 2008, and swim well there.
"Achieving this medal has made me much more positive aboult my swimming career and has made swimming in the Olympics a realistic possibility."
