Chester Road South resident, Sophie Burge, 24, plans to travel to South Africa in July to teach village schoolchildren before beginning a post graduate teaching course in Worcester in September and hopes to raise around £2,000 to fund her trip.
Annalynn Gillon, 22, of Trinity Fields, is raising cash so she can take part in a sponsored 325-mile cycle ride in Peru in aid of the charity, Mind.
The language student needs to raise at least £2,600 to take part in the challenge, which will take place in June. Anyone wishing to help with the fund-raising can contact sof
