BEWDLEY Town's hopes of making up ground in the West Midlands League Premier Division promotion race were hampered when all of the top four drew.
Fourth-placed Bewdley were under-strength and could only share the spoils at home to Ludlow Town in a 2-2 draw, while the three teams above them were also held.
Bewdley opened the scoring on six minutes when Lewis Pountney weighted a perfect pass for striker partner Jamie Hart to ease the ball past the visiting keeper.
Pountney turned from provider to scorer 14 minutes later when Hart returned the favour with a cross which he headed in at the back post to double Bewdley's lead.
But Ludlow pulled a goal back before half-time through Mike Walters' close range header and they equalised on 55 minutes when Robert Vase volleyed in from 15 yards.
Bewdley are back to full strength for the clash with league leaders Market Drayton at Stourport's Walshes Meadow ground at 2.45pm on Saturday.
