KIDDERMINSTER'S Mayor, Councillor Peter Dyke, showed his creative side when he re-opened the town's Weavers Loft for its 2006 season.
Mr Dyke, who was previously employed in the carpet industry, tried his hand at weaving and congratulated the Friends of the Carpet Museum Trust for presenting the industry's traditional skills.
The trust works to preserve the history of the industry and remind people of the importance of Kidderminster's heritage.
The Weavers Loft is open every Saturday morning from 10am to 12.30pm at New Meeting Church, Church Street.
