A MAN with a gambling habit tried to get his cash back after losing it on slot machines, Worcester Crown Court heard.
David Edwards hid in toilets at Shipley's Leisure Enterprises in Worcester Street, Kidderminster but he set off a burglar alarm on November 10 last year, said Peter Tooke, prosecuting.
Edwards, 28, formerly of Princess Road, Evesham, pleaded guilty to attempted theft.
He was bailed to a new address in Bridlington, east Yorkshire, while a pre-sentence report was prepared.
Defence counsel Gary Cook said Edwards was hoping to get back the money he had lost earlier in the day.
