THE year eight rugby team from Parkside Middle School has booked its place in a Midlands finals by defending its title.CHAMPIONS: Parkside Middle School's year eight team are on course for Twickenham.
The team won the Emerging Schools North Midlands tournament in a repeat of 2005's success and ensured their place in the West Midlands section on April 5.
The team booked their place in the North Midlands finals by beating a side from Chase High School in the Worcestershire final.
In the North Midlands championships Parkside defeated a side from Luctonians to make the final, where they defeated a side from Kingster High School.
The team will represent the North Midlands in Wolverhampton.
If they were to win the regional tournament they would progress to the national finals in Staines, London.
