FANS of jazz are in for a treat when two standard-bearers of the Midlands scene team up for a charity fund-raising concert at the Artrix on Friday, March 31.
Vocalists The Rat Pack Boys combine their renditions of classic songs by Cole Porter and Frank Sinatra with The Big Swing.
The concert is raising money for Sophie's Alpine Disable Adventure charity (SADA).
The Rat Pack Boys combine the humour of Sinatra with songs by Count Basie, Nelson Riddle and Sammy Cahn, while performing timeless songs such as Come Fly With Me, Mack the Knife and Beyond the Sea.
Formed in 2003 The Big Swing is made up of a group of diverse musicians and aims to recapture the spirit of Las Vegas at the height of the swing era.
The band hope to help disadvantaged children by raising money for SADA, who take disabled children on adventure holidays.
Tickets for the concert, which also includes pre-concert and interval entertainment, are available from the Artrix box office on 01527 577330. The performance starts at 8.00pm, while doors at 7.30pm.
