Thimblemill 1, Littleton 4
THE previous week's result was exactly reversed as hard work, commitment and well-taken goals earned Littleton a welcome win.
The visitors took advantage of the slight slope by pressing forward whenever possible and their effort was rewarded on the half-hour with a fine goal from Adam Steventon.
Littleton's input benefited further from a spectacular shot by Neal Haines just before half-time.
Controlled football proved more difficult after the break as the rain fell and made the surface sticky.
Thimblemill came more into the game and pressed strongly. However, the whole Littleton team was resolute and even, when the score became 2-1 after an hour, they continued to stick to their task while playing good quality football.
Littleton came back into the match and created chances that weren't taken until late in the game when first Matt Staley and then Haines put the result out of reach of the home team.
