WORCESTERSHIRE people are being asked to help a man trace a relative he has not seen for more than 50 years.
Roy Dunn, who lives in Birmingham, contacted the Worcester News to seek our assistance in publicising his search for the branch of his family who lived in this county.
He said: "I need to contact Robert Lee as he is the only survivor of my mother's ancestors. She descends from the Lee family.
"A branch of the Lewis family moved to Birmingham in the 1870s and it is this branch I am descended from and still live in Birmingham."
The 65-year-old added that Robert's mother's name was Dora Lee, nee Lewis.
Mr Dunn is hoping that someone reading this article will know, or will have heard of, his cousin or the family.
He said: "Robert was born in the Worcester area and his father, Arthur Lee, was a policeman in the Worcester Constabulary until he retired. I think Robert was also in the police force in Worcester.
"I last saw Robert at his 21st birthday celebration, which was held in Tewkesbury about 1952, so he would be about 75 now.
"They had a bakers and confectioners at 16 High Street, Upton-upon-Severn."
Another address he has for them in the town is 4 Ryall. However he does not know if this is Ryall Court Lane, or Ryall Lane or Ryall Meadow.
The other addresses are 1 Fairmile, The Woodlongs, Claines and 2 Lyndhurst, Hanley Swan.
He added: "I have been tracing my family tree over the last 10 years.
"I am 65 and now retired so I have more time to pursue this fascinating hobby."
If anyone has any information about Mr Lee they can contact Mr Dunn by writing to him at 52 Kathleen Road, South Yardley, Birmingham B25 8AZ or e-mail him at roy323@btinternet.com
