RESIGNATION, tinged with a little scepticism, but no surprise!
That's my reaction to Bromsgrove District Council's decision not to view favourably a planning application by the Pet Vaccination Clinic to enlarge its premises so that it can improve clinical facilities at its Alcester Road centre in Wythall.
I feel sure many people will agree that once again the planning department has adopted a carte blanche attitude with no careful consideration, let alone common sense being applied to its decision in this matter.
If we consider the clinics proximity to a very busy dual carriageway, sandwiched between a petrol filling station and a large second hand car dealership, I hardly believe its planning application can be dismissed as simply 'inappropriate in the green belt'.
I have for a long time been an advocate of the Pet Vaccination Clinic, having recommended friends and acquaintances to seek its professional help. I believe it is because people have experienced an excellent and faultless care package, coupled with a realistic pricing policy, that the clinic is now having to consider enlarging its facilities so that it can offer the same high standard of services to an even greater client base.
To me our veterinary services have always been synonymous with the rural environment and I believe that as clients of the Pet Vaccination Clinic we should offer whatsoever support we can to help reverse this planning decision so that more of us can enjoy first class affordable care for our pets.
