THROUGHOUT the season Stow RUFC have sponsored and hosted a schools floodlit cup competition.
Eight schools from Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire competed against each other and all showed determination and good skills with Kingshill from Cirencester and Chipping Campden winning through to the final.
In chilly conditions, the first half ended with Kingshill holding a slender lead.
Tries from Rory McCarthy and Ben Sharpe were matched by Campden's James Marks and Cameron Davidson but a penalty from Henry Bird on the half-time whistle gave the Cirencester side the edge.
The second half saw Kingshill take the honours and a late try by Bird proved the clincher and sealed a hard-fought 18-10 victory.
