PARKING has been made easier and quicker for motorists using Bromsgrove's Recreation Road South car park.

Thanks to a partnership between the district council and Asda supermarket, there are now six ticket machines instead of only two on the popular parking lot.

Councillor Margaret Sherrey, (Con-Furlongs), cabinet member responsible for street scene, said: "This is good news for the motorists using the busy car park. It will make it quicker and more convenient for them to buy their tickets and avoid long queues."

More good news for motorists is that as from May 1, drivers will be able to enjoy half-an-hour parking for just 30p on Recreation Road South, New Road, Parkside and Windsor Street car parks and parking for up to an hour will be reduced from 70 to 60p.
