BOOKWORMS at Vaynor First School dressed up in their favourite literary characters to celebrate the opening of their new library by Redditch's mayor.
The new facility was achieved with the help of parents, through the PTA which raised £3,000 to fund new books and furniture.
Headteacher at the Feckenham Road school, Sue Foster-Agg, said: "This is a lively and bright environment where children will learn to treasure books and the secrets they hold.
"It is a great improvement on the small library the school previously had as it means a whole class can access the space together."
