LIBRARY users will have even more knowledge at their fingertips as part of a national deal.

The county council has subscribed to the Oxford online packages as part of a deal through the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council to make resources more widely available across the UK.

References available will include the Oxford English Dictionary Online, Oxford Reference Online, Grove Music Online and Grove Art Online, as well as the new range of encyclopaedias from Britannica, including the new children's versions.

Library Services manager Cathy Evans said: "Our service already has a high level of reference sources available but this will ensure those using our resources to look up facts and figures have even more information at their fingertips."

References can be accessed free of charge from Worcestershire libraries and remote access from home is available for most via users' library card numbers.
